Who is Mrs. Birmingham?
This is my eighteenth year teaching, but my sixth year teaching at the Weatherbee School. Prior to Weatherbee, I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, then I received my Master of Arts in Teaching. I completed my Certificate of Advanced Studies a few years ago with a concentration in Literacy Across the Curriculum and Differentiation. Previously, I worked with 6th graders in Old Town at Leonard Middle School. Although I loved working there, I missed working with younger children. As a student teacher, I was assigned to a 3rd grade classroom and I have always wanted to get back into an elementary school. I jumped at the chance to join the staff at Weatherbee since I had heard so many wonderful things about the school and the community.
At home, I live with my husband, son and three cats. My son, Jake, recently finished college and is starting his marketing career. I do have a step-son and step-daughter as well. Jonathan is an electrician. My step-daughter, Brittany, is busy juggling my adorable four year old grandson, Carson, and finishing her degree in Farmington. I love visiting with my family and love playing with my grandson!
I also love living in Maine. The beauty of the state astounds me. Walking and taking photos in Maine are two of my favorite past times. Reading is a third favorite!
If you ever have any questions or concerns I would love to chat with you. E-mail is the easiest way to get in touch with me, but I will also call you and set up a face-to-face meeting as well. You can leave me a message if you wish to call and I will return your call as soon as possible!
